PocketBench
1. Summary
PocketBench is an electronics calculation tool that works offline. There is no account, no sign-up and no application server. Calculations, history and preferences stay on your device. The publisher does not receive, sell or share any personal data.
2. Data stored on your device
- display preferences: theme, language and default standard series;
- your calculation history (kept for one year, at most 200 entries) and your pinned favourites;
- your advertising consent choice, managed by Google's SDK.
This data never leaves your device through the app. You can erase the history from the More screen. Everything disappears when you uninstall the app.
3. Advertising
The app is free and shows ads provided by Google AdMob: a banner at the bottom of the screen, an ad card below the results of some pages, and rarely a full-screen ad when a tool is closed (at most one per session and three per day, never at launch or while you type). There are no rewarded ads and no ad is required to use a feature.
To serve and measure these ads, Google may collect and process data such as the device advertising ID, IP address, device model and system version, and information about how you interact with an ad. Google does this as the ad provider, under its own policies: policies.google.com/privacy. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
4. Consent
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent form compliant with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework is shown before any personalised ad. You can change your choice at any time from More → Privacy and advertising. If you decline, the app remains fully usable and ads are non-personalised.
5. Permissions
- Network: to load ads, and for the Modbus terminal when you connect to a Modbus TCP device. The app connects only to the IP address you type, and the data exchanged with that equipment stays on your device.
- USB device: only when you plug in a USB-RS-485 converter and allow access in the system dialog. The data exchanged with the equipment does not leave the device.
The app does not request location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or storage permissions.
6. Hardware recommendations
The "Recommended hardware" page is editorial: no merchant link, no affiliate link, no sponsored content. The publisher earns nothing from the models mentioned.
7. Contact requests
The "Contact us" button opens your email app with a pre-filled subject. Nothing is sent automatically and the app stores no contact data. Messages you send are used only to answer you.
8. Children
The app targets a professional and student audience and is not directed to children under 13.
9. Your rights
The publisher holds no personal data about you. For data processed by Google for advertising, use Google's privacy tools or contact Google. For any other question, write to mavoralabs.dev@gmail.com.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address with an updated date.
