2Data stored on the device

OhmKit works without an account. Projects, calculations, components added by the user and language preferences are stored locally on the device. OhmKit does not send them to a server operated by the publisher. They are deleted when the user erases them in the app or uninstalls the app, subject to the backup mechanisms of the device's own system.

3Google AdMob advertising

The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banners and interstitial ads. Depending on the configuration, the region and the user's choices, Google and its partners may process information needed to deliver and measure ads, in particular the IP address, device or advertising identifiers, interactions with ads and diagnostic data.

The Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) asks for or updates privacy choices when required. Where an option to change these choices is required, it is available in the app's settings. Ads are requested only after UMP has verified that they may be.

4Component library

The app may download the public lists of solar panels and inverters from the NREL SAM project repository on GitHub in order to update its offline library. This network request may give the remote service the technical information that any internet connection usually carries, such as the IP address. No project or calculation is included in this request.

5Contact us

The "Contact us" page lets the user send a suggestion, report a problem or ask a question. OhmKit does not transmit anything itself: the app opens the user's email application with a pre-filled message, and nothing is sent until the user presses Send.

If the user sends the message, the publisher receives its content together with the sender's email address, so that a reply can be made. When the corresponding box is ticked, the message also contains the app version, the calculation engine version and the language used, to help with diagnosis; no device identifier is added to it. These messages are used only to reply to the user and to improve the app.

6Permissions and security

OhmKit requests internet access for ads and for updating the library, and network-state access to know when a connection is available. The app does not create an account and does not request permission to access contacts, precise location, the microphone or the camera.

7User choices and requests

The user can delete their projects, calculations and personal components from the app, change their advertising choices when the option is offered, or uninstall the app to delete the local data. Any question or request concerning data may be sent to: mavoralabs.dev@gmail.com.

8Changes

This policy may change with the features, the service providers or the applicable obligations. Its update date will then be changed.
